Hey all, some of you might have played the First Contact level that I made last November, this is similar but with more polish and no random crash bugs!
Its a defense map where you have to hold onto your four home asteroids for twenty minutes. Lose them all and its game over.
I'm still tweaking the difficulty, I think its a challenge right now but its hard to tell when you've just played the same level ten times in a row to see if everything works ok.
Let me know what you think!
Again, for those of you new to the forum (I just noticed we are over 900 members strong now) just download the level into the /Resources/Maps directory in the folder that you installed Eufloria to. Also make sure you are upgraded to the newest version of Eufloria (2.02) or custom levels will not appear in the game menu unless they begin with Level_ at the start of the file name.

That was cool :>
Pretty exciting... lots of action right from the start. I failed the first time... overwhelmed completely. The second time I managed to zerg it and expand really fast, and then I had some asteroids producing seeds to help me fight. I still lost 2 of the home roids before the end, but I managed to survive the time.. :>

very nice - and challenging! I did beat it the first time, but only barely. I was amazed at how I was able to take back some planets that had just been lost with only a few in number. Anyway, I think it's a fun addition! One idea would be to have a message at the one minute mark or so to build the climax, and perhaps a final large wave around this time (starcraft style). Thanks for the work!

I like the idea of adding a countdown timer so you know how much longer you have to survive. I think a 10 minute, five minute, one minute timer till victory with timed waves would add some drama.
Again, love the feedback, I've got something in the works so the more I hear about this the more I can improve the next level.
